Something Red poster A5_edited-2.jpg

Something Old, Something Borrowed, Something Red

Performed by our Acting on Location class

THIS SHOW HAS NOW FINISHED AND WAS PERFORMED ON:

Saturday 9th December 2023 @ 7pm + 8.30pm

Something Old, Something Borrowed, Something Red is an original murder mystery story set in an epic location. During our immersive performance, audiences (playing the role of Police Officers) will get up close & personal to the wedding party in which a ruthless killer is in the midst.

Meet the grieving Bride-to-be, the argumentive Mother of the Groom, the bickering Parents of the Bride, the sneaky Best Man & Maid of Honour, the wedding photographer, the priest, the groomsmen, the bridesmaids, and more, as we all try and get to the bottom of the crime, and work out whodunnit once and for all.

In typical Theatre on Foot fashion, this isn't your regular production. Audiences will move alongside the action, interviewing and interogating every character they come across - "Why does blood drip from your dress?" "Where were you at precicely 8.30am this morning?" - until the killer is revealed and sent away in handcuffs by our detectives.

"This really is a mystery, officers. And if I’m honest, they all look pretty guilty to me. It's now down to YOU to work out who killed the Groom today."

SHOW TIMES: There are 2 shows: 7pm & 8.30pm (lasting approx. 1 hour each)

TICKET PRICE: £10 (adults, kids, OAPs, students, etc.)

LOCATION: St. Dunstan's church, Earle Road, Liverpool, L7 6HD (Use the front main entrance only)

ON ARRIVAL: Please arrive at the church's front main entrance and have your tickets ready to show on either a mobile device or printed. Doors will open approx. 10 minutes before each performance begins (so, approx. 6.50pm & 8.20pm). There are no toilets on site.

ARE YOUNG CHILDREN ALLOWED?: The church is rather dark and we are telling unsettling stories of murder. Parents/guardians are advised to bring younger children along at their own discretion. But this is a show told by teenagers, so the details are not overally gruesome!

WHAT TO WEAR: Wear warm clothes (coats, hats, gloves) and sturdy shoes you can stand for long periods in (there are no seats).

The Show With No Name

Performed by our Juniors

THIS SHOW IS NOW FINISHED AND WAS PERFORMED ON:

Thursday 30th November @ 7.30pm

The Show With No Name will eventually have a name. But as it's down to our awesome Junior actors to decide on a title next term - along with other key show elements (what costumes we should wear, what scripts we should perform, and what should be on the poster, etc.) - audiences will have to wait a little longer, we're afraid.

What we can tell you now though, is that WE CANNOT WAIT TO PERFORM FOR YOU!!! The Show With No Name is a relaxed sharing of what our youngest actors (aged 6-11) at Theatre on Foot get up to on a weekly basis. There'll be drama games galore, scripted show backs, improvisations, competitions, awards, & screaming... lots and lots of screaming (wearing ear plugs is advised).

For many of the kids taking part this is their first introduction to the wonderful world of performing, and we're really excited to present them with a sea of happy smiling faces to show off in front of.

This inaccurately historical production, which time travels hundreds of years into the future and crosses over with the year 2020, examines how we dealt with our very own pandemic, and will have audiences rolling in the aisle with laughter as larger-than-life characters and storylines are brought to life by a wonderful cast of actors.

The venue staff can't wait to put their shift from hell behind them, and the happy couple are nowhere to be seen!

And then enter the thieves. A ragtag group of misfits with their eyes on the jewellery store, the shop next to The White Lion pub; the venue of the wedding party. But will they manage to break in without being seen, or will the wedding party stop squabbling for two seconds to spot there's a heist taking place right under their noses?
