A note on our next adults course

Thank you for your interest in Theatre on Foot's acting courses for adults.

We're currently taking a little break from running courses and producing plays and films for adults whilst we concentrate on our youth classes. We have a lot of shows, films and events in production!

If you don't mind waiting for us to restart, then please visit our 'CONTACT' page on this website and add your details to our contact form. Your name will then be added to our email list, and we will be in touch when we have news to share. We have the next play and film shoot lined up, and now we just need to find the right rehearsal time.

Theatre on Foot’s adult courses, film shoots, and play rehearsals are outrageously fun, and ideal for anyone wanting to give drama a go for the first time or for seasoned performers looking for their next creative challenge.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, ability, or background.

At Theatre on Foot, fun is at the heart of everything we do. Whether we’re staging an original play, filming on location with lights, cameras, and microphones, or running a course on the fundamentals of acting, our sessions are all about creativity, laughter, and community. We love spending our evenings and weekends with friendly, like-minded people who are eager to learn, make friends, and bring bold new performances to life.

How It Works

It’s simple. We share the rehearsal schedule with you in advance so you know exactly when you’re needed. Then, we dive straight into the project — whether it’s a live production for the stage or a film for audiences to enjoy at home. Together, we explore the script, experiment with acting techniques, build characters, and polish every scene until it’s ready to share with the world.

We’ve performed and filmed in theatres, church halls, pubs, woodlands, underground tunnels, and plenty more!

Throughout each project, we play games, share ideas, tell stories, make friends, and laugh until we cry.

So, whether you’re looking to boost your confidence and have fun or take your acting journey more seriously, we’re here for you. Many of our participants have gone on to professional work — all because they took a chance and said yes.

INSIDE REHEARSALS

KEY INFORMATION

**PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE APPLYING**

WHERE?

Typically, rehearsals and film shoots take place at the Lark Lane Community Centre or The Belvedere Academy.

Often, our film shoots take us to different venues, and these spaces nearly always sit within the South Liverpool region or close to the city centre.

WHEN?

Courses, film shoots, and play rehearsal dates and times can vary.

Often, they run during half terms and school holidays, but also often during weekends and weeknights, too.

All course dates will be given in advance, and participants MUST be available on ALL dates and times.

HOW MUCH?

A typical course costs £150 in total, inclusive of everything.

Although we do usually ask you to source your own costumes.

Half of the courses fee is required upon booking to reserve your spot, and then the second half is payable anytime up to one week prior to starting.

I'M NOT 100% AVAILABLE. CAN I STILL TAKE PART?

Unfortunately not, no. You need to be 100% available and committed to the particular course - during all dates and times.

If you cannot make all rehearsals plus the final show or film shoot, then this particular course is not for you. But our course days and times change regularly so hopefully we can make it work next time.

Tickets for shows are available via the Theatre on Foot website only. There is no final performance element for film shoots.
